Our work in the United States involves three communities.

New York
In New York we have two parishes served by three confreres. These parishes are situated near Central Park in the Harlem area. They mainly serve the Hispanic communities, but people of many nationalities attend Mass there.

Jasper, Indiana
Our nursing home in Jasper, Indiana was built in 1972, in the centenary year of Don Orione’s birth, but our presence in Jasper dates back to 1935 when Father Alexander bought the first property there, namely a huge Benedictine school. Sadly, now we only have two confreres in the area, Fathers Thaddeus and Angelo and so we cannot be certain about the future.

Boston
In Boston we have six confreres who run: a well-known shrine dedicated to Our Lady called ‘Madonna Queen of the Universe’, the Don Orione Nursing Home for elderly people and the nearby parish of St Joseph and St Lazarus. Sunday Masses at the shrine in Spanish and Portuguese are very popular with the local Hispanic and Brazilian communities. We are very much encouraged by the apostolate there, which we hope may lead to vocations in the future. The Nursing Home is in need of repair and we will need considerable funds in the future to restructure and modernise it.
